John graduated from Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA with an Associate of Science Degree in 1989. John then went on to The Oregon Institute of Technology where he graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology – Structural Option. He worked as an AutoCAD drafter for two companies in the Tri-Cities before joining Hopper Dennis Jellison in July of 1993.

In June 2002 John opened HDJ’s Tri-Cities branch office. As Branch Manager, John is responsible for overall client satisfaction, quality control, proposal preparation, and budget oversight. John manages design engineers, technicians, and drafters during design development for all projects prepared in the Tri-Cities office. His design experience includes roadway, residential, commercial and mixed use developments. He has a sound knowledge of standard construction specifications, and provides onsite construction inspection.
